The first phone bank was a huge success.
With a team of only five Upper East Side volunteers we were able to call 80 voters in less than two hours and let them know how their State Senator was empowering the Republicans and undermining important progress in Albany. We had originally planned to call voters in Riverdale and Pelham Bay - the district represented by IDC leader Jeff Klein - but software issues meant we had to switch to Crown Heights Senator Jesse Hamilton instead.
It was a productive and fun evening (and everyone loved my Rice Krispies Treats, of course). The next one will be March 19th, at the Local 46 Metallic Lathers Union Hall on 75th Street and 3rd Ave. Let me know if you're interested in joining!
